The ‘Introduction to Counselling Skills’ module is the first Module on the Foundation course but can also be taken as a ‘Taster’. Many students begin with this module before committing to the full academic year of the Foundation course. We are accepting applications now and the deadline is the end of June 2024.
The taster starts in September and runs annually. A short application form can be downloaded from the website on the ‘Courses’ page. You will need to complete this along with a fitness to practice form and short personal statement. The fees for 2024 will be on the website soon to download and we ask for a payment on acceptance of your place. Please state on the application which group you would prefer.
We run two groups which are currently on Monday and Friday morning 9.30-1pm. Please state your group preference on your application form. The tutor on Mondays is Eleanor McMillan and the Friday morning group is led by Claire Wood.
If you are on the Taster module and interested in applying for the longer Foundation you can do so but you will need to get an application in early (about week 3/4) and be interviewed before the next module begins. The second module of the Foundation course begins after the October half term.
